We provide physiotherapy, chiropractic care, occupational therapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, and active rehabilitation services for injuries and conditions such as: soft tissue, spinal, acquired and traumatic brain, sciatica, vestibular, and fibromyalgia.
We also use specialized assessments and services to better serve individuals in returning to their pre-injury condition, and/or returning to a suitable work position.
Our goal is to have positive effects on individual well-being and workplace health.

Howard Pai is the Owner of Integrative Rehabilitation. He is a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist and Registered Kinesiologist who provides Vocational and Active Rehabilitation services for personal injuries and chronic illnesses. He handles complex medical-legal cases and specializes in psycho-vocational rehabilitation. He has over 10 years of therapeutic rehabilitation experience, where he has worked with various insurance companies to identify treatment solutions, as well as experience as a Functional Capacity Evaluator. Qualifications: Member of VRA and BCAK, Registered Rehabilitation Professional, Certified Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluator, Certified Brain Injury Specialist, Advanced Exercise Prescription Module. Howard is bilingual in English and Mandarin.
Sheena Sharma is a Medical Office Assistant at Integrative Rehabilitation. She was born and raised in India where she completed her Bachelors in Dental Surgery. She then acquired her Masters in Administrative Sciences with specialization in Global Health and Human Services from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She joined Integrative Rehabilitation to provide administrative support and to coordinate all clinic needs. Her strongest asset is to provide exemplary customer service and to provide that at this multifaceted environment with dynamic situations. Sheena enjoys spending time with her family and friends , travelling, and listening to music. She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
Brenda Murillo is a member of the executive team and the Clinical Coordinator at Integrative Rehabilitation. She is a Registered Kinesiologist who graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She is passionate about helping people overcoming barriers to live more fulfilling lives. She has worked with people of varying abilities and ages, including people living with spinal cord injuries as well as those on the autism spectrum. She believes in the value of being physically active and aims to help people do so in whatever means they choose. She chooses to do this primarily through playing soccer and hiking. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Sarah Mertz is a member of the executive team and a Senior Registered Kinesiologist at Integrative Rehabilitation. She is a member of the BCAK and an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist. She graduated from the University of British Columbia’s Kinesiology program and has a special interest in the physiological adaptations that occur with exercise in healthy, aging, and chronically ill or injured populations. At Integrative Rehab, she conducts one-on-one rehabilitation sessions and focuses on return to work intervention. She conducts specialized return to work assessments and assists clients with creating a durable and gradual return to work plan.
Sereen Hon is a member of the executive team and a Registered Kinesiologist at Integrative Rehabilitation. She is a practicing member of BCAK and graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a concentration in Active Health and Rehabilitation. Sereen has a passion for helping people achieve their movement goals through evidence-based practises. Understanding that each person has their own set of barriers and goals, she values listening to clients’ stories to develop individualized programs. Outside of Integrative Rehab, she enjoys coaching figure skating, volunteering at SFU’s anatomy lab, hiking, and cooking. Sereen is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Amanda Richmond is a Senior Occupational Therapist at Integrative Rehabilitation. Amanda grew up in Cambridge, UK and moved to BC in 2006. She completed her Occupational Therapy degree at Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, UK, in 2001. She specializes in acquired brain injuries, orthopaedics, mental health, wheelchair assessments, ergonomics, home equipment/modifications and return to work. She has a certificate in urban poling, Cogmed, Cost of Future Care Assessments and Functional Capacity Testing. In addition to working as a treating OT, in the Vancouver and lower mainland, Amanda has worked with a team of people to create, modify and carry out a training and mentorship program, as well as, quality assurance, program development. She keeps active in her spare time throughout the year by training for triathlons and taking care of her two children.
Dr. Chester Lai is a Chiropractor who graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelors Degree in Science in 1991. In 1995, he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West. He has been working with Howard on a number of complex files and successfully improving client symptoms. He currently operates out of WestCoast Spinecare clinic in Vancouver. He has a genuine passion for helping clients with their injuries and overall well-being. Dr. Lai is bilingual in English and Cantonese.
Dr. Ali Amiri is a Chiropractor who has over 10 years of experience in private practice, and has been able to help thousands of clients eliminate pain and suffering. After delivering over 100,000 chiropractic treatments to people ranging from infants to those in their 90’s, he aims to provide a safe, gentle and effective treatment plan to get you the results you are after. Dr. Amiri spent seven years at Simon Fraser University studying for his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Certificate in Health and Fitness, followed by an additional four years at the prestigious Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto to obtain his Doctorate as a Chiropractor. Dr. Amiri is passionate in promoting a healthy lifestyle and enjoys hobbies such as yoga and meditation. Dr. Amiri services the tri-cities and works closely with Howard at Coquitlam Family Chiropractic.
Dr. Jonathan Yu is a board-certified chiropractor who obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and Honours of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University. Dr. Yu is passionate in helping people, which inspired him to get into chiropractic field in the first place. He is experienced in diagnosing and treating various conditions that arise from the spine, muscles or joints. He utilizes the latest evidence based medicine and creates tailor-made treatment plans that suit your needs. Dr. Yu is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
Dr. Pavendeep Parmar is an experienced licensed Chiropractic Doctor who will come up with a personalized treatment plan for each patient. He spends extended treatment sessions (20-30 minutes per patient) doing manual adjustments, soft tissue therapy and exercise therapy with his patients. He treats patients with ICBC claims, Extended Health Benefits, and Private Patients and has extensive experience working with patients of all ages including children.

SOFT TISSUE THERAPY
Andrew Taylor is a Registered Physiotherapist who completed his master’s degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Andrew has over 10 years of experience treating clients with a range of orthopedic injuries including sports injuries, motor vehicle accidents, work place injuries, postural imbalances, repetitive strain injuries, low back injuries and post-operative rehabilitation to name a few. He uses a range of evidence-based treatments to help clients reach their goals and return to function including Acupuncture/dry needling, manual therapy, exercise therapy and patient education. In his free time, Andrew enjoys playing touch rugby, football (soccer), eating the different flavourful foods of Vancouver and going to the gym to work it off.
Christina Wong is a Registered Physiotherapist graduated from the University of British Columbia with high honours. She has extensive experience working with people suffering from motor vehicle injuries, work-related injuries, sports injuries, repetitive strain injuries, acute and chronic pain, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, concussions, and vestibular conditions. She has worked with Howard to assist with getting clients back to their pre-injury function. She is certified in acupuncture and intramuscular stimulation (IMS). Christina is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Lieon Kit is a Registered Physiotherapist at Integrative Rehabilitation. He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2007 at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Prior to that, Lieon completed his Master’s of Education in Kinesiology in 2000 at the University of Texas at Austin. He has worked with Howard extensively to assist clients back to pre-injury status. His qualifications include: Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, Manual Therapist, Medical Acupuncture, Gunn IMS Practitioner. Lieon is bilingual in English and Cantonese.
Katherine Lamar is an interim Physiotherapist at Integrative Rehab. She received her Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy from University of the Philippines-Manila. She has worked in a variety of settings including tertiary hospital, outpatient setting and home health physiotherapy for almost six years back in her home country. She believes education plays an integral role in any physiotherapy treatment, and that along with the treatment that is provided in clinic, she also aims to teach patients to help themselves get better, protect themselves from further or any future injury, and have a more functional and active lifestyle. Katherine is bilingual in English and Tagalog.
Yusuf Mu is an interim Physiotherapist at Integrative Rehab. He graduated with a Master of Science from University of Toronto. Originally, from Vancouver and received his bachelor of Science degree
from University of British Columbia.Yusuf has had opportunities to work in several teaching hospitals in Toronto as well as hospital and clinics in Vancouver . Yusuf believes physiotherapy is an active approach requiring the therapist and patient in working together in achieving their goals. Yusuf utilizes manual therapy, modalities, and most importantly exercise to tailor a patient specific rehab plan. In his off time, Yusuf is active and enjoys basketball, weight lifting and hiking. Yusuf is bilingual in English and Mandarin.

Cindy Ma is a Registered Acupuncturist at Integrative Rehabilitation. Cindy has been developing her passion for TCM for over 10 years now. During this time she has been certified by a Master in Tao on the highest truth of Tao Oneness, the Universal Laws and Principles of all things, which she implements into her daily practice. Tao Oneness tells us that all meridian channels connect with our internal organs. She also receives mentorship from experienced practitioners of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs, which allowed her to receive meaningful feedback on her practice. Cindy is currently registered as an active acupuncturist (R.Ac.) of TCM with the CTCMA. She continues to fuel her passion for TCM with extensive and ongoing academic pursuits. Cindy is bilingual in English and Mandarin.
Ismail Bhamji is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and a practicing member of The Registered Massage Therapists Association of British Columbia (RMTBC). He graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT). Ismail is able to treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions ranging from Whiplash, TMJ dysfunction, Thoracic Outlet syndrome, Low Back pain, Knee pain, Plantar Fasciitis just to name a few. Ismail has a real passion for treating sport related injuries. He has volunteered his time to many major sporting events and loves to be involved in the sports/athletics community here in the lower mainland.
Victor Sham is a Registered Kinesiologist at Integrative Rehabilitation providing rehabilitative services for injuries as well as chronic illnesses. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor’s of Human Kinetics and a concentration in Clinical Exercise Physiology. He has years of experience and is interested in Sports Therapy. Victor specializes in Kinesio taping and plans to work with athletes in the future. Victor is bilingual in English and Cantonese.
Kamal Johal is a Registered Kinesiologist at Integrative Rehabilitation and a practising member of BCAK. She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology and Biology. She also completed her Health and Fitness Certificate at SFU. She is certified under Canfitpro and has experience working with individuals struggling with various health conditions. She has a true passion for health and loves seeing people improve and succeed in their personal growth. She believes rehabilitation is a way for people to see what their bodies can achieve under any circumstance. Kamal is Bilingual in English and Punjabi.
Natalie Carkner is a Registered Kinesiologist at Integrative Rehabilitation and a practicing member of BCAK. She graduated from Trinity Western University with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. During her undergraduate studies, she competed on the TWU Spartan’s basketball team for 5 years. She has experience working in clinical settings with individuals struggling with various injuries. In addition, she has spent time volunteering with individuals suffering from brain injuries, disabilities, and those recovering from strokes. She understands that every person is unique and focuses on creating rehabilitation programs specific to each person’s goals.
Kirstin Sullivan is a Registered Kinesiologist at Integrative Rehabilitation and a practicing member of BCAK. She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology concentrating in Active Health and Rehabilitation. Kirstin is passionate about helping her clients overcome barriers through active therapy. She believes in using evidence based practices, functional movements and proper body mechanics to improve function. In a clinical setting, she has experience working with various injuries and with clients diagnosed with chronic conditions. Outside of work, Kirstin enjoys yoga, hiking with her dogs, running and skiing.
Jennifer Dinh is a Registered Kinesiologist at Integrative Rehabilitation. She obtained her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia and is a current member of the BCAK. Jennifer enjoys helping her clients get back into the activities they enjoy doing the most. Her belief that education is power when applied is reflected in her practice. She empowers her clients to achieve their personal goals through individualised exercise prescription and education on movement and injury prevention. Using evidence-based practices, Jennifer aims to restore function, improve their mobility, range of motion, and strength. Her dedication and passion in helping her clients reach their optimal level of health and well-being ensures that they are being heard and are receiving effective and efficient treatment. Jennifer is bilingual in English and Vietnamese.
Katie Allesia is a Registered Kinesiologist with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from UBC. She has a passion working with people living with disabilities and hopes to remove barriers in their everyday lives. She is experienced working with clients with various neurological conditions such as: spinal cord injuries, stroke, ALS and Multiple Sclerosis. For the past 2 years Katie has worked in the field of mobility and accessibility medical equipment for a variety of clientele in the community. Katie enjoys an active lifestyle and enjoys playing ice hockey, skiing, hiking and camping in her free time.
Jasmine Fostvelt is a Registered Kinesiologist who graduated from the University of British Columbia Okanagan, with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics and a concentration in clinical exercise physiology. Jasmine has spent many years playing competitive team sports and she connects with her clients through the promotion of a healthy and active lifestyles. Outside of work, Jasmine enjoys staying active by playing soccer, softball and skiing. She has also spent several years teaching swimming lessons and lifeguarding, and is a certified National Lifeguard. Jasmine is fluent in French and English.
Puneet Aulakh is a Registered Kinesiologist at Integrative Rehabilitation and a practicing member of BCAK. She graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science and an extended minor in Psychology. Puneet is also certified in Soft Tissue Release. She has previous experience working with individuals with autism and rehabilitation with victims of stroke. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and baking. Puneet is bilingual in English and Punjabi.
James Kennedy is a Registered Kinesiologist at Integrative Rehabilitation and a Practicing member of the BCAK. He received his Bachelor of Kinesiology from California State University of San Marcos with an emphasis in Pre-physical Therapy. James has coaching and clinical experience working with various age groups, skill levels and injury types. Furthermore, James coached national-level competitive jump-rope for over 5 years and many of the athletes he coached excelled in their respective events. James is passionate about helping people work through therapy to achieve their goals. Lastly, James understands that people are unique and need rehab programs to be tailored to their needs.
Elisha Khattar is a Registered Kinesiologist at Integrative Rehabilitation and a practising member of the BCAK. She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. Elisha has competed in dance competitions and participated in many sports over the years which has allowed her to appreciate an active and healthy lifestyle. She is passionate about promoting the benefits of being active with clients. Outside of work, Elisha enjoys going to the gym, hiking and cooking. Elisha is fluent in English and Punjabi.
